What I've Been Up To

Hi everyone! It feels funny writing a blog post after being MIA for two months. The last couple months have been a whirlwind of events, and unfortunately, blogging was put on the back burner while I was finishing my sophomore year of college, interning at NBC (!!!), and running collegiate track. I survived finals week and I'm home for a few weeks before moving into a house with my friends in Portland! It's definitely going to be a crazy summer, but one of my main priorities is to blog throughout the summer months and provide tons of new content for you all.

So, for today's post, I wanted to get back into the swing of things by sharing some photos and telling a few stories of what I've been doing since I last posted. If you wanted to stay up-to-date in real time, please follow my social media that can be found in the top right corner of this page! Ok, let's get started...

Look how beautiful the view from my dorm is!!

At the start of the spring semester, our campus was blanketed in snow in a few weeks. In the evening, everyone would run outside and have snowball fights and play in the snow. Classes were cancelled due to the snow so playing continued throughout the day.

Waterfall Hike

My friends and I went on a snowy adventure and hiked to two different waterfalls in Oregon. It was so much fun and the waterfalls were so beautiful!

Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I've been interning at NBC sports in the marketing department. These two photos are from work events; the top photo is from a basketball game and the bottom is from when I helped conduct interviews at a fan event. I have had the best experience interning so far and I can't wait for what's in store! Keep your eyes peeled for more intern related posts soon!!

Next up, Canada! My friends and I traveled north for our Spring Break vacation. We went on a crazy road trip from Portland, OR to Vancouver, BC and then we stayed in Northern Washington before heading back to school. We had a blast exploring the city and nightlife of Vancouver and then relaxing in a beautiful yurt on a farm in Washington. I'll never forget this trip and all of the crazy memories we made. Check out some of the photos from that trip!

Coachella Valley

After exploring chilly Canada, I traveled south to the blazing hot desert in Coachella Valley. I went to the infamous Coachella music and arts festival and had the time of my life! From the people, to the music, to the art installations, everything about this place was magical and memorable. Some of my favorite arts were LEON, HAIM, and of course, Beyonce.

To the left are some pictures I snapped of the festival grounds, and below is the outfits I wore and some of the sets I went to!

Attending Coachella was a once in a lifetime experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone! Just remember to pack tons of water and wear comfy shoes and you'll be ready to go!

Ok, so I promise that I actually went to class in-between traveling and exploring. As proof, here is a photo I took during a physics class after our teacher passed out a special lens that created this rainbow effect. Also, when I wasn't in class, I was on the track competing for my school. It was a great season and I competed in the 100 & 200m dash. To the left is a pic of two of my teammates who also play soccer in the fall!

So there you have it, the last couple months of my life as a college girl. I've made so many memories that I'll never forget and friends that mean the world to me. My sophomore year is officially over and I'm a rising junior in college. I can't wait to write more college related posts for you all and there are a lot of exciting announcements on the horizon!
